Swedish government since July 1 2008 is mandating central government agencies to handle invoices electronically. Local and regional authorities are not included in the regulation, but a majority is already using e-ordering and e-invoicing.ESV is responsible for the e-invoicing solution used by central government agencies via framework agreements with Itella, Agresso, Basware and Expertsystems. ESV is currently in the process of establishing new framework agreements also covering e-ordering.ESV is a sponsor of SFTI together with SALAR.
